The prostate gland is an integral part of the male reproductive system. About the size of a walnut, it continues to change and grow during a man’s lifetime. Maintaining prostate health should be of maximum importance to all men if they want to lead a long and healthy life.
Let’s look at three medical issues that can arise as a result of the prostate gland, and some recommendations for the best foods for prostate health.
BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) is an enlarged prostate gland. The prostate gland surrounds the urethra and assists in reproduction. As men age, the prostate gets larger, in fact most older men have BPH to some degree and about half of men over 75 experience BPH symptoms. BPH is a very minor condition, and is not related to prostate cancer, however symptoms can cause discomfort and be inconvenient.
The prostate is a gland about the size of a walnut located just below the bladder. It is responsible for producing important fluid for reproduction. There is a risk of your prostate slowly growing cancer without any symptoms until it is fully infected or spreads cancer to other parts of your body.
